Taekwondo
Our founding martial art is Song Moo Kwan Taekwondo, which is a modern Korean martial art founded in 1944 by Supreme Grandmaster Byung Jick Ro, the father of Grandmaster Hee Ro. We are very proud of our heritage and direct connection to the origins of Taekwondo.
Taekwondo is the most practiced martial art in the world and is an Olympic sport and it's popularity has resulted in never ending evolution of the art, keeping it young and dynamic, and it is the key to it's widespread success. As with many other martial arts, Taekwondo is a combination of combat technique, self-defense, sport, exercise and philosophy.
Taekwondo emphasizes kicks thrown from a mobile stance, using the leg's greater reach and power to disable the opponent from a distance. In sparring, roundhouse, front, axe, hook, push and side kicks are most often used; advanced kicks include jump, spinning kicks, often in combination.
Taekwondo training also includes a comprehensive system of hand strikes and blocks, but generally does not emphasize grappling.
Junior's Taekwondo
Junior's Taekwondo classes are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday, for students 8-11 years old. Our Junior's classes are a great opportunity to burn off extra energy and help maturing children and young adults develop important life skills such as fitness, self confidence, focus and self defense skills.
Adult Taekwondo
Adult Taekwondo classes are offered Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. We have Beginners and Advanced Classes. We have a Black Belt Class on Saturday morning. Taekwondo offers are a great opportunity to get full body exercise and build your fitness, self confidence, focus and self defense skills.

Shaolin Kung Fu
Shaolin Kung Fu is an external Chinese martial art. It is one of the five major martial arts systems developed in China. A number of our Instructors have studied and practiced extensively in China under the direct supervision of Shaolin monks.
Shaolin Kung Fu developed as a "long-fist" style emphasizing extended kicks and hand techniques. Such a long-range system stresses full extension of the limbs so that kicks and punches are extended as far as possible using extended, circular movements to improve overall body mobility in the muscles, tendons, and joints. Advanced techniques include joint-locking (qin na), throws and takedowns
Our Shaolin Kung Fu program also includes introductions to a number of the traditional Chinese weapons

Hoshinsul Hapkido - The Art of Self Defense
Hoshinsul Hapkido is a traditional Korean self-defense martial art. It is a martial art centered around developing a person's inner strength. It is also referred to as the "way of coordinated power" or "the way of strength and harmony".
Hoshinsul Hapkido is based on the philosophy of using minimal force to overcome a physically stronger opponent. Therefore, great strength is not needed to apply the techniques effectively and as therefore it is suitable for both men and women. Circular motion is stressed in classes - and is used to divert the attacker's energy flow using the least amount of force.
Hoshinsul Hapkido consists of kicks, punches, joint locks, throws and sweeps. Our curriculum also includes a number of traditional Hoshinsul weapons including the Dan Bang (sort stick), Po Bak (rope), Knife, Cane and Staff.
